About the Role

The Cage is the heart of the cash flow in the casino, coordinating hundreds of interdepartmental monetary transactions each shift. Cage is responsible for millions of dollars in transactions daily. Responsible for all monetary transactions and exchanges with customers, casino pit and other departments. Responsible for servicing customers check cashing, redeeming chips and slot tickets. Responsible for receiving, counting, verifying and depositing chips, cash and negotiable documents. Requires a minimum of (3) three years poker/cage cashiering experience in a high volume casino. Proficiency in all MS Office systems is required. Knowledge of Title 31 and experience in a fast-paced credit environment is preferred, but not required. Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, at present or in the future, for this position at all times. Must be 21 years of age or older. Nevada
Nevada Gaming Work Permit
Required for all gaming employees in Nevada. Applied for after hire. Background investigation conducted by the NGCB.
$100–$25028 week process

Clark County Sheriff's Work Card
Required for all employees working in Clark County (Las Vegas area) gaming establishments. Applied for through the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Renewed annually.
$60–$8013 week process

FBI Background Check / Fingerprinting
Live-scan fingerprinting submitted to FBI. Required before most state gaming licenses are issued.
$40–$9026 week process

Note: Nevada requires a state gaming work permit AND a county sheriff's work card. The sheriff's card is employer-specific in Clark County. Gaming employees must apply for a work permit within 30 days of hire.
