THE JOB: As a Security Officer First Responder, you will be responsible for providing basic emergency medical needs to our team members and property guests while ensuring exceptional guest service. By understanding the guests’ unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us. THE STARTING RATE: $19.50 THE DAY-TO-DAY: Patrol and monitor all areas of the property Provide excellent guest service to guests and employees Act as a First Responder in emergency situations Perform gaming drops/transactions, including carrying drop boxes and chip carriers Resolves complaints and issues involving both guests and employees Responds to emergencies as needed THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills Ability to learn, demonstrate proficiency and effectively use defensive tactics and handcuffing techniques Ability to participate in all evacuations procedures to aid guests and employees during an emergency Ability to operate assigned equipment Must be flexible if needed for occasional work outside of normal business hours Must have a valid driver's license Mus have an Emergency Technician license by the State of Michigan Must be 21 or older THE PERKS & BENEFITS: Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally Health & Income Protection Benefits (For eligible employees) Free meals in our employee dining room Free parking Child Care Assistance Professional and personal development through programs and networking opportunities as well as volunteer

Licensing Requirements

Michigan
Michigan Gaming Occupational License
Required for employees of the three Detroit commercial casinos (MGM Grand Detroit, MotorCity, Greektown). Tribal casinos use their own licensing processes.
$150–$350410 week process

Live-scan fingerprinting submitted to FBI. Required before most state gaming licenses are issued.

Note: Michigan has both commercial casinos (Detroit) and a large tribal gaming market. Commercial casino employees go through the MGCB; tribal employees go through each tribe's gaming commission.
