The IBM iSeries (AS/400) Systems Administrator is responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting IBM iSeries systems across the Casino and remote offices. This includes managing hardware, software, storage, and disaster recovery processes, as well as assisting in the supervision of Computer Room Operators. The role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work within Seneca Gaming Corporation policies, Internal Control Standards, and objectives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Install, configure, and maintain IBM iSeries (AS/400) hardware, software, and peripherals in coordination with vendors and users. 2. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and respond to user requests and trouble tickets. 3. Manage security, user roles, and data protection, ensuring reliable backups and recovery processes. 4. Implement and maintain disaster recovery solutions, including PowerHA replication and role swap testing. 5. Research and recommend system enhancements, upgrades, and cost-saving opportunities. 6. Document system configurations, changes, and user environments. 7. Lead upgrade projects and assist with new system rollouts. 8. Support the Operations Manager in directing Computer Room Operators. 9. Provide professional customer service and maintain a collaborative work environment. 10. Maintain compliance with IT policies and 24/7 availability for critical issues. 11. Attend required training and meetings; assist with additional projects as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Education/Experience: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent work experience. 2. Two (2) to four (4) years of IBM iSeries (AS/400) administration experience, including LPAR, system design, and multi-environment management. 3. Hands-on experience with PowerHA, Global/Metro Mirror, FlashCopy, BRMS, and Advanced Job Scheduler. 4. Strong knowledge of IBM Power hardware, SAN fabric, and external storage. 5. Proficiency in
