About the Role

The Surveillance Gaming Specialist is responsible for observing and reporting activity viewed through the CCTV camera system and live casino observation. This position performs detailed observations, monitors the integrity of casino activity and uses various casino software programs to prepare gaming evaluations, procedural audits and concise reports. Job Responsibilities: Surveillance Gaming Specialist will adhere to the Wynn system of internal controls. Specialists will monitor compliance with Nevada gaming regulations and the property’s business processes. They will be responsible for protecting assets through monitoring all patrons and employees for any cheating, fraud and suspicious activity. Specialists will evaluate gaming activity and determine the skill level of our guests. In addition to live observation, they will review previously recorded coverage as required. Specialists will write detailed reports and generate daily log entries on all observations and reviews as well as create any necessary documentation for Management. They will be accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of all reports and departmental records. All Specialists must adhere to the department’s training policy, perform tasks as assigned by Executive Management and be able to work as part of a team. Other duties include inspecting dice and tiles, maintaining their work area in an executive ready state and maintaining a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality. Candidates must be proficient in all table games offered at Wynn | Encore, with a focus on but not limited to: surveillance operations and games protection. Candidates are required to adhere to the department training and development requirements, policies and critical knowledge requirements. A minimum of 6 months of Casino Surveillance is required. Nevada
Nevada Gaming Work Permit
Required for all gaming employees in Nevada. Applied for after hire. Background investigation conducted by the NGCB.

Required for all employees working in Clark County (Las Vegas area) gaming establishments. Applied for through the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Renewed annually.

Live-scan fingerprinting submitted to FBI. Required before most state gaming licenses are issued.

Gaming Surveillance Certification
CCTV operator or gaming surveillance certification (e.g., IASIR). Not universally required but highly preferred. Some states require a surveillance-specific endorsement on the gaming license.

Note: Nevada requires a state gaming work permit AND a county sheriff's work card. The sheriff's card is employer-specific in Clark County. Gaming employees must apply for a work permit within 30 days of hire.
