Services guests and educates customers on the rules of the game(s). Secures gaming equipment and layout. Provides an entertaining, exciting and memorable guest experience. Performs other related duties as assigned. Promotes superior guest service. Minimum Qualifications Graduate of dealing school or previous casino dealing experience in a high volume, complex casino environment required. Must be able to bend, stand and stretch for long periods of time. Assignments may require working in a smoking environment. Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours. Licensing Requirements

Tribal Casinos (All States)

Tribal Gaming Employee License

Issued by the specific tribe's Gaming Commission. Each tribal nation sets its own licensing standards in compliance with NIGC Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS). Must be renewed annually at most properties.

$50–$2002–8 week process

FBI Background Check / Fingerprinting

Live-scan fingerprinting submitted to FBI. Required before most state gaming licenses are issued.

Dealer School Certification

Completion of an accredited dealer school program. Certificates are issued per game (Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Baccarat, Poker, etc.). Most programs run 6–12 weeks.

$500–$30006–16 week process

Note: Each tribal nation operates its own Gaming Commission under NIGC oversight. Licensing requirements vary by tribe but generally include a tribal gaming license, FBI fingerprinting, and background check. Common states: CA, MN, WA, AZ, CT, WI, OR, MT, OK, NM, ID, WY.
